Sustainability and Responsibility Plan 2026–2028

Background

Tmi Rose-Marie Peake provides inclusive solution-focused brief therapy, coaching, training, and facilitation for individuals, communities, and organisations.

The company’s sustainability and responsibility goals are based on the principles of planetary wellbeing. Planetary wellbeing is founded on the idea that the wellbeing of people, communities, and the planet are inseparably interconnected – one cannot exist without the others. Protecting ecosystem resilience and biodiversity, as well as mitigating climate change, also promotes human wellbeing. Social equality and non-discrimination form the foundation of economic and ecological sustainability: for example, because of discrimination, some minority groups remain excluded from sustainable development measures. At the same time, the most disadvantaged people on our planet suffer disproportionately from environmental disasters and conflicts.

The aim of this responsibility work is to strengthen clients’ wellbeing, capacity to function, participation, and sustainable collaboration while conducting business in an ecologically, ethically, and economically sustainable manner.

In my work, I commit to:

  • respecting human dignity, self-determination, and diversity
  • promoting equality, non-discrimination, and participation
  • working in a research-informed manner while continuously engaging in critical reflection on my own practice
  • recognising issues related to power and privilege
  • considering the ecological impacts of business activities
  • continuously developing my expertise and ways of working

The company’s sustainability and responsibility goals are structured around three themes:

  1. Thriving People and Communities
  2. Sustainable and Responsible Entrepreneurship
  3. Good Governance and High Professional Ethics

1. Thriving People and Communities

Objective

The objective of the company is to strengthen the wellbeing, sense of belonging, psychological safety, participation, sustainable capacity to function, and sustainable ways of working of individuals, communities, and organisations. It is important to me to support people’s ability to participate in society as their authentic selves and by making use of their own strengths.

What does this mean in practice?

The aim of the company’s services is to help people and communities build ways of working that support wellbeing, collaboration, and sustainable change. My work emphasises client-centredness, equality, non-discrimination, accessibility, a sense of safety, and strengthening clients’ own agency. My practice is based on a psychiatric-critical, decolonial, and anti-racist approach. My work is also guided by neurodiversity-, queer- and trans-, and trauma-sensitive perspectives.

Actions

  • I provide inclusive solution-focused therapy, coaching, facilitation, and training.
  • I support clients in making use of their own strengths, agency, and capacity for change.
  • I strengthen psychological safety, a sense of belonging, and constructive interaction.
  • I promote equality, diversity, non-discrimination, and inclusion in all my work.
  • I regularly educate myself in psychiatric-critical, decolonial, and anti-racist approaches as well as minority-sensitive practice. In addition, I independently educate myself about minority identities that are new to me and appropriate approaches for working with them, so that clients do not need to educate me.
  • I take into account different life situations, identities, ways of functioning, and support needs.
  • I provide services both face-to-face and remotely.
  • I maintain and develop my accessibility practices:
    • I provide services both remotely and in person.
    • I aim to choose accessible meeting venues.
    • I communicate about my services in multiple languages and in a clear manner.
    • I take different sensory and communication needs into account whenever possible.

2. Sustainable and Responsible Entrepreneurship

Objective

The objective of the company is to conduct business in a way that supports the wellbeing of the environment, the entrepreneur, clients, and partners.

What does this mean in practice?

I recognise that it is not credible to promote sustainable wellbeing for individuals and workplaces unless I also strive to implement the same principles in my own operations. This means thoughtful and environmentally responsible choices, responsible partnerships, and safeguarding my own wellbeing as an entrepreneur.

Environmental Responsibility

  • I favour remote delivery whenever it supports the client’s objectives.
  • The company’s devices use renewable electricity (Porvoon Energia EKO, which is certified as EKOenergy by the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation).
  • I favour public transport for work-related travel whenever this is not in conflict with maintaining my own wellbeing.
  • If I travel by car, I favour hybrid and fully electric models and drive as ecologically as possible.
  • I reduce travel abroad and favour travelling by land whenever this is not in conflict with maintaining my own wellbeing.

Digital Responsibility

  • I reduce unnecessary data storage.
  • I favour digital materials over printed products.
  • I assess the environmental impacts of websites and digital services.
  • I use digital tools thoughtfully and securely.
  • I take into account the ethical, social, and environmental impacts of artificial intelligence.

I use:

  • Primary browser: Ecosia
  • Artificial intelligence: Ecosia whenever this is possible and secure for the task in question. As a secondary AI and for tasks requiring a higher level of data protection, I use Microsoft Copilot and avoid using ChatGPT whenever possible. I use Notion thoughtfully and only for planning and maintaining my business operations.
  • Electronic forms: Weavely
  • Meeting notes, when the meeting does not contain confidential information such as health data: Fathom
  • I favour durable, repairable, and high-quality purchases.
  • I avoid excessively packaged products and the use of disposable materials (for example, disposable tableware).

Sustainable Procurement and Partnerships

The company seeks to consume in a socially responsible and environmentally sustainable manner.

  • Whenever possible, I favour small businesses and local providers.
  • Whenever possible, I seek to purchase products and services from local small businesses, socially responsible operators, and entrepreneurs belonging to minority groups when such providers are available in the relevant field and information about the entrepreneur’s background is publicly available or voluntarily disclosed by the entrepreneur.
  • I assess partners’ activities from ecological and social responsibility perspectives.
  • I favour environmentally friendly, recycled, and sustainable products.
  • I favour Fairtrade and organic products as well as responsible supply chains.
  • Whenever possible, the company aims to provide a limited number of discounted or free services each year to individuals, communities, or projects whose activities promote equality, participation, mental health, or social justice. Alternatively, the company donates a portion of its annual income to selected organisations that promote social causes or protect biodiversity.

Responsible Catering

In face-to-face meetings, workshops, and training sessions:

  • I favour gluten-free plant-based refreshments.
  • I take different dietary restrictions into account.
  • I favour seasonal and locally produced products.
  • Whenever possible, I use Fairtrade coffee, tea, and other products as well as organic products.
  • I avoid food waste.

Responsible Banking and Investment Activities

  • Whenever possible, the banks, invoicing systems, and payment systems used by the company are Finnish and responsible.
  • Ecological and social responsibility are key criteria in investment activities.

The company is committed to creating a working life that also supports the entrepreneur’s own wellbeing.

  • I monitor my workload.
