Foundations of Inclusive Client Work

An online workshop for helping professionals on creating safer and more inclusive client encounters
Everyone is welcome in my practice. But is that also your clients’ experience?
Many helping and guidance professionals strive to meet their clients with respect, curiosity and fairness. Yet inclusive practice can raise important questions: What should I know? What questions are appropriate to ask? How can I avoid making assumptions or unintentionally causing harm?
Foundations of Inclusive Client Work is an online workshop designed to help professionals develop inclusive and affirming ways of working with diverse clients. Drawing on research, practical examples, group discussion and reflective exercises, the workshop offers both knowledge and concrete tools for building safer and more inclusive client relationships.
By the end of the workshop, you will have a clearer understanding of what inclusive practice means in your own professional context and how to incorporate it into your everyday work.
This workshop is particularly suitable for:
- (psycho)therapists
- coaches
- supervisors and workplace supervisors
- social and healthcare professionals
- educators and professionals working in learning environments
- other helping and guidance professionals
No prior DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) or equality-related training is required.
After completing the workshop, you will be able to:
- identify assumptions and attitudes that may influence your client work
- evaluate your own practice through an inclusivity lens
- discuss diversity and difference with greater confidence and ease
- create safer and more inclusive client encounters
- develop your practice through a concrete personal Inclusive Practice Plan (individual feedback provided by Rose)
- reach and serve a broader range of clients
- learn alongside peers and share experiences with other professionals
Remember: Making mistakes and learning from them are part of the process. The goal is not perfection, but continuous growth and development.
